Introduction

TreasureTress is the UK and Europe's leading natural hair product discovery box, boasting a 45,000-strong engaged community of women. In an effort to drive change in the wider beauty industry and highlight a huge untapped opportunity in the Black British and European haircare market, they approached me to design their groundbreaking trend report that would help solidify Treasure Tress as a leading authority on this growing market.

by Andre Humphrey-Modeste

My goal for the design was to craft a shareable digital magazine-style experience, unlike a typical trend report format. The art direction champions the Treasure Tress community with captivating close-up photography by Andre Humphrey-Modeste, archive event images, user-generated content, and witty memes, all highlighting the cultural perspective of black women's experiences.

I collaborated with both front-end and back-end developers to create interactive infographics and graphs. These elements enhanced the user experience by allowing visitors to explore dynamic data on their own terms, providing a more insightful and interactive exploration of the trend report.
